Klein College announces launch of the Logan Center for Urban Investigative Reporting
Two nationally renowned journalists, Julie K. Brown and Yvonne Latty, will join the Logan Center.
Temple University's Klein College of Media and Communication is excited to announce the launch of the Logan Center for Urban Investigative Reporting, which is intended to assist Klein students and faculty in reporting on and finding potential solutions to urban issues including gun violence, economic inequality, and education and health disparities.
Yvonne Latty and Julie K. Brown, both nationally renowned journalists, will join the Logan Center. Yvonne Latty, who will serve as the center’s director, is an award-winning podcast producer and currently a professor at the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University, as well as a longtime Philadelphia resident and veteran reporter for the Philadelphia Daily News. Julie K. Brown, KLN ’87, will serve as a professional-in-residence for one year. Also a former Philadelphia Daily News reporter, she is an investigative journalist known for her reporting on Jeffrey Epstein and the recipient of George Polk awards, the Investigative Reporters and Editors Award, the Hillman Prize and the National Press Club’s award for investigative reporting.
