Beasley School of Law Professor David Kairys will be distinguished at the 74th Law for the People Convention with the 2011 Law for the People Award.  Kairys, who has taught at Temple Law since 1990, is a civil rights legend whose work with the National Lawyers Guild began as law student in 1966. He is the author of two books, including a memoir about his civil rights work.
