A message from Trustees Chairman Mitchell Morgan

To the Temple community:

As a follow-up to the universitywide announcement on Sept. 14 regarding the establishment of the Presidential Search Committee, this is to provide an overview of the process that we will be using to engage with faculty, deans, staff, students, alumni and the community, all of whom have a stake in the future of Temple University.

Over the coming weeks, representatives of the Committee will host a series of town hall meetings via Zoom, with some in-person where possible. Participants will be able to submit questions in advance of the meetings, though our goal is to have enough meetings of manageable size that real-time interaction and conversation can happen. The Presidential Search Committee recognizes the critical value of a broad range of input as we begin to prioritize the skills, talents and characteristics that will define Temple’s next president.

The meetings will be recorded and posted on a public website dedicated to the presidential search. We hope that all interested stakeholders will take advantage of this opportunity to participate in this incredibly important task.
