Spring 2021 on-campus housing
Dear Temple students,
We are pleased to invite you to join the spring Online Housing Selection Process. With plans for the spring 2021 semester at Temple University taking shape, many of you currently living off-campus, commuting, studying abroad, or newly admitted to Temple will want to apply for on-campus housing, as the university is increasing the number of in-person courses and enhancing its testing program. By choosing to live on campus, you’ll have easy access to all campus resources and opportunities for cultural, social and academic growth, as well as a strong support community.
Access to the spring 2021 Online Housing Selection Process will open on Monday, Nov. 16, 2020. To participate in the Spring 2021 Online Housing Selection Process, please complete an academic year 2020–2021 housing application by visiting the MyHousing system via TUportal.
Spaces will be available in 1300 Residence Hall, Morgan Hall and Beech International Village. In order to de-densify the residence halls, each student will be assigned to their own bedroom. A limited number of spaces will also be available in the three off-campus locations where University Housing and Residential Life maintains staff presence: the View, University Village and the Nest. You will be able to select your preferred accommodations on a first-come, first-served basis as spaces are available. James White Hall, 1940 Residence Hall and Temple Towers are not currently offering spaces.
Additional spaces may become available and will continue to be added in our system on a daily basis as we approach spring 2021 move-in.
Move-in for spring 2021 residents is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021. Because of the delayed start to the semester, the cost of on-campus housing will be prorated for the spring. You will only be charged for the time spent living in the halls, which starts with move-in on Jan. 17, 2021 and ends May 5, 2021. Additional details about move-in, quarantine/isolation procedures, and the COVID-19 testing plan described in the most recent message from President Englert are forthcoming. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as plans might change due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you have any questions regarding the Housing Selection Process, please contact University Housing and Residential Life at 215-204-7184 option No. 2 or by emailing housing@temple.edu. The main office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Best wishes,
