Changes and enhancements to Temple Culinary Services

Dear Temple students,

With the start of the fall semester right around the corner, I wanted to take a moment to share an update regarding changes and enhancements to Temple Culinary Services.

For the first time ever, we are excited to introduce Grubhub® Ultimate to several on-campus eateries this fall. From a convenience standpoint, we believe this will significantly enhance the on-campus dining experience as it will help improve both wait times and services at eateries across the university. The Grubhub® Ultimate program, which integrates all restaurant ordering channels into one system, will initially launch in the Howard Gittis Student Center and be available at BurgerFi®, Chick-fil-A®, Saladworks®, Twisted Taco®, Which Wich®, Wing Stop® and Zen.

We are also excited to open our first Panera Bread®, which will be located in Pearson and McGonigle Halls, replacing Così®. The restaurant will offer a variety of customizable combos for under a meal swipe during all meal periods.

Finally, as we work to reimagine the on-campus dining experience, we have also reassessed the need for two all-you-care-to-eat residential dining options on campus. Currently, 60% of meal plan activity is used at retail locations like those present in the Howard Gittis Student Center and on the first floor of Morgan Hall. The Esposito Dining Center in Johnson and Hardwick Residence Hall can also accommodate current and projected usage during the busiest hour on the busiest day of both locations.

For that reason, we have decided to close the all-you-care-to-eat dining hall on the second floor of Morgan Hall. The university’s all-you-care-to-eat residential dining program will be headquartered in the Esposito Dining Center this fall, and a number of new food offerings will be available.

I invite you to learn more about the new changes to Temple Culinary Services

Best of luck to you as you begin the new semester.

Sincerely,
