With snow banks as a reminder of recent storms and another snowfall predicted, negative emotions, like snowflakes, can pile up. "Some [people] might worry that they'll lose their job," said Temple psychologist Frank Farley. "What if a business has to shut down, or reduce their hours? That frustration can often lead to aggression. People become furious." And shut-ins can feel confined, even imprisoned, like they won't be able to get out, or people won't be able to reach them if they need help, said Farley.
