More than 2,000 requests for help have been received at the Pennsylvania Innocence Project's office since it started operations last year at Temple's Beasley School of Law. Director Marissa Boyers Bluestine said, "We've been trying to discern what claims are potentially innocent and trying to figure out which cases we can pursue given our scope, which is to help the convicted innocent." A man who spent 29 years behind bars for a crime he did not commit was recently released with help from Ohio's Innocence Project. "It was a classic case of misidentification," said Bluestine.
