Christopher Wlezien, a Temple political science professor who has studied the timelines of presidential elections, answered questions on how much a good or bad campaign matters for a candidate. “Elections don’t happen magically so campaigns do matter, but it’s hard to determine what’s good or bad,” he said. “It’s very rare where candidates who have an advantage lose.”
