Fledgling musicians are finding a new place to rise to stardom thanks to a university label. Students at Temple-run Bell Tower Music, a not-for-profit record label that teaches students how to run the business. According to Jack Klotz Jr., assistant professor of broadcasting, telecommunications and mass media at Temple, "Some of the same changes that have made the industry so volatile — production and distribution costs have shrunk dramatically for instance — have made the record label at Temple a viable option." Students are now in the planning stages of putting out a record that will also be on vinyl.
