Liacouras Center named state's best place to watch college basketball

Harrisburg Patriot-News columnist David Jones ranked the state's top college basketball venues. At the top of the list: Temple's Liacouras Center, which he called "bright, warm, inviting and fun" and "the best place to watch a game" in Pennsylvania. He praised Temple's "superior" Diamond Band, the "super-athletic and innovative" Diamond Gems, and "stylish" P.A. announcer Merv Jones. But above all, Jones saluted Temple's student section, which he called "tremendous — full of energy and volume and little ritual gags."
