More sleep could help with weight loss

If you're having a difficult time losing weight, you may need more sleep. Research has shown that a loss of sleep is linked to a higher risk of obesity and now Gary Foster, the director of the Center for Obesity Research and Education at Temple, wants to find out if getting more sleep will help with weight loss. "The hopeful outcome may be that when you teach people to get more sleep, it in fact leads to better weight loss, and that could be for a variety of different reasons," he said. "You're not watching as much television; you're not prompted by the commercials as much. You're just on top of your game."
