When a doctor discovers a lump during a physical, the patient must be sent for more testing. But a new, inexpensive device developed by Temple engineer Chang-Hee Won can provide doctors with information on whether the lump is cancerous or benign. “Many companies are trying to develop breast cancer screening devices. But this is different because we want it to be portable and simple,” said Won.
