“A Man Who Takes the Place Of,” a new documentary web series created and directed by Samuel Angus Campbell, a student in Temple’s Department of Film and Media Arts, follows fellow Temple student A.J. Young’s journey from woman to man. The series begins with Young — at the time named Catherine — contemplating his change before going in for his first testosterone shot. Six months later, the second episode finds Young with facial hair and speaking in a deeper voice. “That was a crazy six months,” he said. “I felt like I was a teenage boy going through puberty.”
