Potential 76ers buyers' ties to Philadelphia could help seal the deal

Two potential buyers of the Philadelphia 76ers, Joshua Harris and David Blitzer, are based in New York and London respectively, but have connections to Philadelphia – both are graduates of the Wharton School. Joseph Mahan, assistant professor of sport and recreation management at Temple, said he's encouraged by their link to Philadelphia, even if it was during their college years. "It certainly can't hurt them - the fact that they are connected in some way to the city and that they appear to have deep pockets," he said. "That's what you need: an infusion of cash into the franchise to make it a winner."
