Temple President Ann Weaver Hart announced that she will step down in June 2012 to care for her ailing mother. "At Temple, Hart was known as a stable, calm and able force who sought to transform the North Philadelphia campus through her signature Temple 20/20 program," wrote Jeff Gammage of the Inquirer. "Her Temple 20/20 framework envisioned a renewed Temple, vibrant with residential communities of students, centers of academic and research excellence, and hubs of creative enterprise. The program also seeks to extend a hand to the surrounding neighborhood."
