Retailers can boost earnings by as much as $100,000 by employing a racially diverse roster that mirrors its customer base according to a new study, led by Temple Fox School of Business Associate Professor Derek Avery. "In some ways the whole thing was sort of surprising," Avery said. "Even though the finding is somewhat intuitive based on social-psychological principles — similarity has got to sell."
