Brandon Swift, a former student at Temple University's Fox School of Business, is set to make his debut tonight in the first episode of "The Real World: St. Thomas," the 27th season of MTV's hit show. "He is such an engaging person," said "Real World" co-executive producer Jim Johnston. "He loves to talk and he loves to meet people. He got to know so many of the local people on St. Thomas. He got frustrated that the other roommates were standoffish." Swift, who grew up in New Jersey, was determined to go to Temple as soon as he visited North Philadelphia and saw the university's "hustling, bustling" campus. "The Student Center was packed; the Liacouras Walk was crowded," Swift recalled. "I was just walking around going, 'Yeah! I'm loving the scene.' I wanted to be a business major and I found out the Fox School was one of the top in the country for undergraduates." Christopher Cabott, one of the city's top entertainment lawyers who had Swift in two courses he taught at Temple, says "Brandon definitely sticks out in a room. He's very well-dressed, very well-spoken, and very outgoing. I'm not shocked at all to see someone as magnetic as him end up on television." Swift will be the third Temple alumnus to appear on MTV in the last eight days; recent episodes of "Made" featured recent grads Rachel Furman and Dana Grooms. The premiere of "The Real World: St. Thomas" will air at 10 p.m. on MTV tonight (Wednesday, June 27).
