WHYY-FM's "Radio Times with Marty Moss-Coane"

With the national unemployment rate hovering just below 10 percent, millions of Americans need tips about finding a job. Rachel Brown, director of Temple's Career Center, joined "Radio Times" to discuss what career trends and what students and recent graduates can do to improve their chances of getting great jobs. Brown said more students are exploring entrepreneurship and self-employment. "It's a little bit market-driven, and it also represents a change at Temple — there's very much an entrepreneurial spirit and support here," said Brown. "We have one student who is a physical therapy major, but on the side she has a jewelry design business that she mostly markets over the Internet."
