Residents of North Philadelphia have a new option when it comes to receiving physical therapy care in their community. The College of Public Health recently opened the North Broad Physical Therapy Center, which offers free services to uninsured and underinsured patients of all ages.

In addition to addressing a health care gap in the community, the clinic offers a team of Doctor of Physical Therapy students the opportunity to administer therapy to patients under the supervision of licensed physical therapists. They will also gain hands-on experience managing the business side of a health care practice, from marketing to outcomes assessments to operations.

The center, located in Jones Hall, operates Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-8 p.m.
