I am delighted to announce that after a national search, our new Vice Provost for Enrollment Management at Temple University will be Jose Aviles. Jose will join us in his new position on May 1, 2023.

A leader in the field of enrollment management, Jose brings an outstanding record of achievement and deep expertise on the most pressing issues facing higher education today. Most recently as the vice president for enrollment management and student success at Louisiana State University (LSU), he created a comprehensive strategy that led to the largest and most diverse pool of applicants in the university’s history. Prior to his role with LSU, Jose held leadership positions in enrollment management at the University of Buffalo, State University of New York (SUNY), the University of Delaware, and Millersville University.

Jose has a passion for meeting students where they are and advancing access for all learners. His inspiration to work with students comes from his own experience as a first-generation college student who grew up in New Jersey. He is eager to make a difference here at Temple University, and to the Philadelphia region that he calls home. I invite you to learn more about Jose in this news story announcing his appointment.
