Robert Blackson, the new head of the Tyler School of Art's Temple Gallery, is one of two new curators at "iconic" local university galleries who are "giving us all a reason to go back to school." PW wrote that Blackson has "thrown a wrench into the traditional, top-down model of exhibition-making" and is shifting Temple Gallery's focus from the gallery to the community. "It's obvious to me that the way it really slices down is that public programs is the pie and exhibitions are one slice of it because all of our engagement with the public is in some way a program," said Blackson.
