Your TV may not look any different, but thanks to a landmark deal, your bill may, says Temple University Journalism Professor Chris Harper. Details of the deal between Fox and Time-Warner cable are secret but since Fox wanted $1 per subscriber per month to be able to retransmit its broadcast and cable programming and Time-Warner countered at about 30 cents, it's safe to say that the cable company and its subscribers will be paying something where they hadn't before. "Advertising revenues are falling off significantly and Fox, CBS, CNN and NBC are looking for alternative sources of income and the retransmission for cable stations is one way they're going to go after that money," said Harper.

"My research, which is based on economic history, shows that entrepreneurs are at the vanguard of social economic change. When times are bad, that’s an opportunity." Phelps also recommends using your social network. "Count on your friends," she said. "Your friends can point you to opportunities."
