Temple Ambler offers help preparing taxes

Tax season is once again upon us, and Temple Ambler is looking to do its part to help with what can often be a daunting task. For the fourth year, the school is offering its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to help low-to-moderate-income individuals and families prepare their taxes. "One of the sad things about our tax system is a normal person just could not understand it; it's not user-friendly," said Steven Balsam, director of the VITA program and a professor at Temple's Fox School of Business. "It's really hard for someone to do their proper return without training and background."
