Neighborhood Foods wins top prize at 2013 Be Your Own Boss Bowl

Neighborhood Foods, an urban farming business founded by recent Fox School of Business graduate Dylan Baird, won the grand prize at the 15th annual Be Your Own Boss Bowl business plan competition on Thursday. The organization provides a weekly service in which customers pay a fee at the beginning of the growing season and receive a box of local produce each week.

Formerly titled the Temple University Business Plan Competition, the Be Your Own Boss Bowl is open to students, alumni, faculty and staff of Temple University. Those outside the university can participate if the company’s proposed CEO or team leader if Temple affiliated.
