Katz has a long legacy of generosity to Temple that he credits for opening doors of opportunity for the Camden, N.J., native.

A $1.75 million gift to the Kornberg School of Dentistry from UnitedHealthcare and the United Healthcare Foundation will fund a new initiative designed to improve children’s access to oral health care. Project ENGAGE is a new health promotion system that will reach out to at-risk children and families to remove barriers to dental care.

Stephen and Sandra Sheller, who have spent their respective careers in law and behavioral health treatment advocating for the poor, powerless and those experiencing injustice, have made a $1.5 million gift to establish the Stephen and Sandra Sheller Center for Social Justice at the Temple University Beasley School of Law.
