Temple's Center for the Arts announced that the Glass Program at the Tyler School of Art has received a gift totaling more than $1 million — one of the largest ever given to a college glass program — to promote the study and creation of glass art from noted Philadelphia philanthropists and art collectors Irvin J. Borowsky and Laurie Wagman.

New class of 20/20 Scholarship recipients is welcomed to Temple

On Monday, community members, faculty and administrators welcomed 17 freshmen who have been awarded Temple 20/20 Scholarships for 2012. Initiated last year to give back to the community and help increase the number of Philadelphians with college degrees, the program provides $5,000 awards to qualifying students from the North Philadelphia neighborhoods surrounding Main Campus.
