Temple University and the Temple Association of University Professionals (TAUP) have reached a tentative contract agreement that continues through October 2012. The agreement was reached Tuesday night and is tentative pending ratification by the members of the bargaining unit and approval by the university Board of Trustees.

"The members of the Temple University bargaining team have worked long and hard to achieve this important goal, and I am proud of the work they have done to create an agreement that is both fiscally responsible for Temple and fair and equitable to our faculty. I believe this contract is a good outcome after the 14-month negotiating process, and I am very grateful that we will start the new academic year with the negotiations behind us," said President Ann Weaver Hart.
