This year, Homecoming and Family Weekend is back and it’s bigger and better than ever. Each year this annual tradition brings alumni, students, families, faculty and staff (yep, EVERYBODY) together for a chance to celebrate their unique connections as Owls and show their Temple pride.

For the health and safety of our community, this year’s weeklong series of events will offer both in-person and virtual events Monday, Sept 27 through Sunday, Oct 3.

“As we planned our events for this year, we are thrilled to be able to bring our alumni, families and students together again to celebrate in-person. We worked closely with New Student and Family Programs and the Main Campus Program Board to make sure everyone is given an opportunity to reignite their Temple pride,” explained Ingrid Heim, associate vice president of alumni and constituent engagement. “At the same time, we are excited to see how many university partners came together to host virtual programs for our far-flung community members.”

Among 2021’s offerings you’ll find many of your old favorites, like Art Market, the golf cart parade and the Homecoming tailgate. As well you’ll find scavenger hunts, a ghost tour, author talks and panel discussions, affinity group happy hours and much, much more.

Here are just a few highlights from the week’s festivities.

Get Artsy
Returning for the 10th year, the Art Market at Tyler offers the opportunity to purchase handmade goods from dozens of Philadelphia’s finest artists from the Tyler School of Art and Architecture. All proceeds from the application fees for this year’s event were donated to the Tyler School of Art and Architecture General Scholarship Fund. Due to COVID-19 precautions, we’re once again presenting Art Market in a virtual format.
