Top Workplaces survey open for employee input

Thanks to a Temple employee, the university has been nominated as one of’s 2015 Top Workplaces. You might have received an email earlier this week asking you to take a survey as part of this program. Additional emails with links to the survey will be emailed over the next two weeks.

The findings will be used to evaluate nominees and determine the top 100 workplaces in the region. To be considered in the running, 35 percent of Temple’s employees need to take part. Results will be announced in mid-January.


The surveys are going to full-time faculty and full-time and part-time employees. All are encouraged to participate and share their experiences at Temple.


In addition to providing the information needed to evaluate the region’s Top Workplaces, the survey data, analyzed in aggregate form only, will be used to improve services and develop solutions to issues that are identified at Temple.


“While being named a Top Workplace would certainly be of value, it is your feedback and the ability to respond that is as just as important, said Ken Kaiser, vice president, CFO and treasurer at Temple.


The 22-question survey, which should take about five minutes to complete, is coming from WorkplaceDynamics, an independent research company.


To protect your confidentiality, WorkplaceDynamics will not disclose your individual responses to the university. Department or group scores will only be disclosed if there are at least six survey takers in your group.  When you respond to the open-ended comments, please be careful not to write anything that will identify you as an individual.


Please note:

• The survey will be open through Friday, Dec. 12, 2014.

• If you do not receive the survey email within the next week, then please check your spam or junk email for a message from "Workplace Survey." To open the survey invitation, you may first need to mark the email as not spam.

• If you accidentally delete the survey email, then you will receive a reminder email a few days later that will allow you to take the survey.

• Please do not forward the survey email to a colleague, as each email has a unique code to prevent multiple responses from a single person.
