Deborah Hartnett, who has served as Temple’s vice president of Human Resources since 2002, has announced her plans to leave the university.

During Hartnett’s tenure, the Human Resources operation has grown in all areas, including the implementation of new online systems for applicants and current employees, the creation of the Temple Leadership Academy, and the development of a hiring initiative for local residents in the Temple community.  Although Hartnett said she will miss her work with the great people she has met at Temple University, she has undergone some changes in her personal life that require more time with family, and at this time, wants to make that her priority.

Hartnett’s resignation is effective March 31.
