Bringing new water technologies and jobs to market

While developing technologies to clean contaminants from water is important, it is just as important to make sure those same technologies get to the marketplace. Temple's Water and Environmental Technology (WET) Center received a $1 million, two-year National Science Foundation grant to help it commercialize some of the water-treatment methods being developed by it and its industry partners. "With the new NSF grant, I am hopeful that we will assist the water industry to create more jobs through technology development and commercialization," said WET Center Director Rominder Suri.
