After 26 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Magid Abou-Gharbia has moved to academia as director of the Moulder Center for Drug Discovery Research in Temple's School of Pharmacy. For Abou-Gharbia, who had a long and prosperous career in industry, the idea of returning to academia had been percolating since graduate school. "Researchers learn a lot from the literature, and I felt an obligation to give back to the literature and educate future generations," he says.
