"Hardball" host to receive honorary degree from Temple

"Hardball" host Chris Matthews will receive an honorary degree from Temple at the May 12 commencement ceremony, where he will also address students. Matthews, who grew up in the area, brought the politics and punditry of his MSNBC show to Temple for a live broadcast during election season last fall. Temple President Ann Weaver Hart said Matthews "has distinguished himself as a broadcast journalist, newspaper bureau chief, presidential speechwriter and bestselling author."
