Temple sophomore Emily Hooven has Type 1 diabetes and discovered first hand that many like her don't share details and information about their disease. As part of a class project, she and classmates started Diabetes Diaries on YouTube, which features video of people around Philadelphia talking about their experiences with diabetes. "For a while you think that it's just not something important enough to talk about, and a lot of people expressed that they didn't think people would care what they had to say or that they would relate," she said.
