Noodle bars are nothing new to Atlantic City casinos

Press of Atlantic City

Opening a noodle bar in an Atlantic City casino to attract Asian gamblers was innovative 20 years ago, but it's considered formulaic today. "Everyone has jumped on the bandwagon,” said Ed Spotts, an instructor at Temple's School of Tourism and Hospitality Management who spent 27 years working in Atlantic City's casinos. "It's come to be expected. You're going to have a gourmet restaurant, you're going to have a buffet and you're going to have a noodle bar." It's unclear, though, what percentage of Atlantic City gamblers are Asian.
