Penn State trustees' campaign heats up

Voting for new trustees at Penn State is set to begin and a campaign is underway to persuade more alumni to vote. None of this campaigning surprises Jason Del Gandio, a Temple assistant professor of rhetoric and public policy. He said college campuses have a long history of activism and protests. He said campuses contain a key ingredient for activism: community investment. "Penn State has a long and glorious history," he said. "The Jerry Sandusky scandal is motivating people to recoup the campus ethos."
