The former team doctor for the Toronto Argonauts football club is charged with treating athletes with banned drugs. Repeated requests for interviews with team officials have been met with "no comment" responses, and Canadian Football League officials have echoed that silence. "From a [public relations] standpoint, to just hide behind that it makes you look as though you are hiding something," said Aubrey Kent, director of Temple's Sport Industry Research Center. "From an institutional and long-term strategy point of view, there's only so much smoke you can endure before the fire starts to do some damage."
