Are you feeling a little colder than you remember feeling at the end of last winter? Now there's scientific research that shows that at least parts of our bodies really are warmer at the end of winter than the beginning. Ausim Azizi, professor of neurology at Temple's School of Medicine, says after being exposed to cold for a while, your brain starts to think the temperatures are normal. "After a while it realizes (the cold) is not a danger to the body, and then it kind of relaxes," Azizi says. The parts of the brain that react to danger create a new baseline for what's actually dangerous.
