Temple Health leader is one to know

Larry R. Kaiser, the leader of Temple’s healthcare enterprise, earns an accolade from Becker’s Hospital Review.

Kaiser is one of 110 physician leaders of hospitals and health systems in the country recognized by "Becker’s Hospital Review" for demonstrating outstanding leadership and clinical expertise.

Larry R. Kaiser, president and CEO of Temple University Health System, dean and professor of surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, and senior executive vice president for health affairs at Temple University, has been named one of the top Physician Leaders of Hospitals and Health Systems by Becker’s Hospital Review.

Kaiser is one of 110 physician leaders of hospitals and health systems in the country recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review for demonstrating outstanding leadership and clinical expertise throughout their careers and leading initiatives to improve their individual organizations and the healthcare of the communities they serve.

As head of Temple’s health enterprise, Kaiser has overseen a number of initiatives that address a range of issues affecting the local community such as opioid addiction, safe newborn sleep and training bystanders to treat gunshot wound victims.

This recent honor follows others which include citations in Castle Connolly’s America’s Top Doctors for Cancer 6th edition, Who’s Who in the World, and Philadelphia magazine’s Top Docs, among others.
