Klein student media recognized with national publishing awards

Media from Philadelphia Neighborhoods and The Temple News, two Temple student news publications, won awards at this year’s EPPYs, an annual college and university digital media competition.

Temple student media dominated the college categories at this year’s EPPYs competition.

Klein College of Media and Communication student media projects won awards in four out of nine college categories at this year’s EPPYs, an annual competition that recognizes the best in digital news publications by colleges and universities. 

Philadelphia Neighborhoods, a community reporting publication operated out of the Department of Journalism, won first place awards in the categories of best college/university website, best news story and best photojournalism. The Temple News, the university’s student-run, weekly news publication, won the first place award in the category of best college/university sports section/website for its Basketball Preview 2021 coverage.
