Student investors make big gains in transition to real funds

Students who manage the William C. Dunkelberg Owl Fund — a hands-on approach to investment education at the Fox School of Business — have shifted from conducting mock trades to actual investing. Last semester, Owl Fund managers made 14 recommendations for investment, approving nine stock purchases and rejecting five.

Surprise scholarship announcement at Musser Awards leaves tourism students speechless

At the Fox School of Business's Musser Awards dinner Wednesday, 20 School of Tourism and Hospitality Management sophomores competing for a single $10,000 scholarship learned that the prize had been increased to $12,000, and that each would be awarded that amount. The awards were made possible through a $240,000 donation from Korman Communities founder Steven H.
