Stuart Sullivan to leave Temple for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

Stuart Sullivan, who has served as senior vice president for Institutional Advancement since 2001, has resigned from his position at Temple to become executive vice president and chief development officer at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

During Sullivan's tenure, the university has experienced significant growth in all aspects of advancement and is now witnessing the benefits of a new culture of philanthropy and broadened community of alumni and friends. The university is grateful to Stuart for his leadership and dedication to Temple and wishes him all the best in the future.

Sullivan's resignation is effective May 8. A formal search will begin immediately for his successor. Tilghman Moyer, currently assistant vice president for Advancement, will become interim vice president for Advancement during the search. Melissa Birnbaum Coopersmith, chief of staff for the Office of the President, will continue to serve as the key liaison to the Board of Trustees, volunteers and leadership donors for campaign and advancement-related issues.
