In an opinion piece, Craig Green, associate professor at Temple University's Beasley School of Law, asserts that while Obama's short list for his upcoming Supreme Court appointment includes several highly qualified and moderate potential nominees, the best choice may be Circuit Court Judge Merrick Garland, one of the most respected appellate judges in America. In her blog, Jobbing, Inquirer reporter Jane Von Bergen commented on this year’s winners of the university’s annual Be Your Own Boss Bowl. "If Temple University wanted to create an advertisement to showcase its diversity, it could have saved itself a lot of work by photographing the winners of the Be Your Own Boss Bowl sponsored by Temple's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute and its Fox School of Business." Von Bergen wrote. "Seeing these young men in their suits, so united in their purpose and obviously such good friends, makes me kind of starry-eyed."

Fox School of Business' HR on the Ground course is highlighted as one of 10 examples of courses that will pay off at work. Fox formed a partnership with Target that allows undergrads to offer consulting advice to the retail giant after a thorough analysis of store performance. Since 2005, Target has hired at least 56 Temple students to work on the corporate level.
