Virginia Tech laptop orchestra joins Boyer for unique performance

Tonight at 6 p.m. in Conwell Hall Dance Theater, Boyer College of Music and Dance will present “Between: Dance and L2Ork,” a performance of repertoire by Virginia Tech University's laptop orchestra combined with live dance improvisation. The concert will feature the world premiere of "Between," a new dance solo and orchestral piece.

Stroke couldn't stop Boyer dance professor from teaching, choreography, drawing

In 2008, a stroke left Boyer dance professor Philip Grosser unable to read, write or speak — so he turned to drawing. After intensive speech therapy, Grosser was able to return to choreography and teaching, and now he has published a new book of art.

Leah Stein Dance Company helps celebrate Temple's Philadelphia Experience

Last Thursday, students gathered by the skate park at Cecil B. Moore Ave. to watch the Leah Stein Dance Company perform an outdoor site-specific dance piece. Sponsored by Temple’s GenEd Program, the performance was held to celebrate the city of Philadelphia as a place of learning and interaction.
