Faculty Focus: Sport industry researcher Jeremy Jordan

Video Production: Gina Benigno

In this latest installment of the Faculty Focus series, Jeremy Jordan, associate professor of sport and recreation management and director of the Sport Industry Research Center in Temple's School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, reveals that participating in long-distance running, such as the upcoming Broad Street Run, has a positive impact on quality of life, at least in the short-term.

"When you run, you're part of a community, which includes the people cheering for you and those you run with. You share a common bond and a means to communicate," he explains. "It gives you the opportunity to set and complete goals and feel good that you completed a challenge, and those things carry over to other parts of your life."
