Battle of the broadcasters
Five students compete to become Temple's first Mandarin broadcaster
As Temple men’s basketball team faces USF on Sunday, Jan. 31, another battle will be raging in Morgan Hall on Main Campus: the battle of the broadcasters.
Five Mandarin-speaking students will vie to become the first-ever Mandarin broadcasters for Temple men’s basketball. Two winners will be chosen to have broadcasts livestreamed for Mandarin-speaking Owls fans on owlsports.com.
To get in the spirit of the event, the competitors took to campus to spread some cheer—literally. Check out Owls learning how to say key Temple phrases—cherry on, go Owls, and Temple made and Temple proud—in Mandarin.
