Nearly 40,000 runners, including many Temple staff, students and alumni, will pass Temple's Main Campus and Health Sciences Center on Sunday during the 34th Annual Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run. In addition to running the race, members of the Temple community will cheer runners on from Broad Street at Polett Walk, and podiatry students will provide foot care at the finish line in South Philadelphia.

Student government leader encourages local children to consider college

New and enhanced financial literacy courses developed to help students manage debt

As part of Temple’s renewed efforts to help students reduce and manage debt, four financial literacy courses have been designed to help students understand the complexities of college financing and to promote responsible budgeting. The courses explore topics such as taxes, savings, estate planning, major purchases, credit cards, interest rates and investments. Emphasis is also placed on managing student debt and understanding the impact of defaulting on loans.
