An incident at the Science Education and Research Center construction site was reported at 1:20 today. Initial indications are that a failed connector on the fifth floor of the structure caused a beam to fall. The construction site will remain closed and vehicular and pedestrian traffic changes will be in effect until further notice.

The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating a home invasion and robbery involving Temple students off campus in the 1800 block of North 18th street.

A series of fires were set at the Morgan Hall construction site on February 11 and 12. The fires involved construction debris and were not serious. No one was injured and construction continues on the site as scheduled. Federal and city authorities are investigating the incidents, which have been limited to the work site and pose no threat to the Temple community.

Temple University Police have issued an advisory regarding a robbery with a gun involving a Temple student and an employee Thursday, Jan. 3, at 5:50 p.m. outside 1426 W. Venango Street, west of the Health Sciences campus.

At approximately 11:45am today a Temple student reported being robbed near the 1400 block of Diamond Street. Philadelphia and Temple Police began investigating the robbery and have since arrested a suspect fitting the description of the offender and recovered a weapon believed to be used in the incident. There is increased police activity and media responding to the scene of the incident.

Philadelphia and Temple Police are investigating a shooting which took place just after 10 pm at the intersection of 11th and Norris streets, adjacent to campus. A 10-year-old child was shot in the leg and has been hospitalized. The suspect is a black male wearing a blue and white sweatsuit last seen going north on Marvine. Anyone with information should immediately call 911.

Temple University Police and Philadelphia Police are investigating a robbery and assault of a Temple student that occurred in the 1400 Block of West Diamond Street at approximately 10:15 a.m. today. An iPhone was taken when two unknown males struck the student in the eye then fled east on Diamond Street.

Philadelphia Police report that an armed robbery took place in a private apartment on the 1500 block of Page Street around 10 p.m. Sunday, April 29. The occupants of the house, all Temple students, were robbed at gunpoint. No injuries were reported.
