Seed grants reward interdisciplinary research at Temple

For the third year, the Office of the Provost has awarded seed grants to faculty teams in the sciences for multi-disciplinary and clinical translational research, and in the arts and humanities for multi-disciplinary research and creative collaborations. This year, 21 grants were awarded, each totaling as much as $50,000, representing 59 scholars from 12 schools and colleges at Temple, and three campuses, including Temple University Japan.

Another record-breaking class of new undergraduates has arrived. Projected to total more than 7,000, Temple's new students are the most highly qualified cohort in the university's history. Once final enrollment numbers are tallied in mid-September, they may end up being the largest as well.

MBA students race through city in team-building scavenger hunt

Make a human pyramid in front of the Liberty Bell. Collect two business cards from Philadelphia bankers. Shake hands with an elected official. Those were just a few of the quirky tasks new Fox School of Business MBA and International MBA students had to cross off their lists during a city-wide scavenger hunt Aug. 12. As the morning rain cleared, 55 students hit the streets of Philadelphia with maps and clues in tow, aiming to accomplish as many of their 30 tasks as possible in three hours.
