With the fall 2015 semester already in full swing and the recent opening of reForm on Aug. 28, Temple Contemporary has a full lineup of don’t-miss events for the month of September.

Start off each week right at Coffee Mondays. Now through December enjoy a free cup of award-winning Elixir coffee from 7:45 to 9:45 a.m., and catch up on what’s happening at Temple Contemporary.

On Wednesday, Sept. 16, learn what boredom looks like, with a 3-D scan of artist Gustav Metzger’s brain while he thinks about nothing. This exhibit will be on view through October.

From Sept. 17 to 19, Tyler School of Art will be home to Philalalia, an annual, three-day small-press poetry and art fair that brings together creatives of all ages from the art and literary world to showcase, perform and sell their work.

The following week, as the city of Philadelphia prepares to welcome the pope—along with an estimated 1.5 million visitors—artist Zoë Sheehan Saldaña will lead a demo on making your own hand sanitizer on Thursday, Sept. 24.
